How To Style Chaco’s Year-Round

Although you wouldn’t think it at first, Chaco’s are a super versatile shoe that you can wear throughout the entire year. When I bought my first pair last spring I wasn’t really sure how often I would wear them (besides for hiking) and what exactly I could/should wear them with.

But since I’ve had them, I have been able to wear them all four seasons, no matter the weather, and I thought I would share some of those ideas with you!

Overall(pun intended), this is one of my favorite outfits to wear with my Chaco’s! If its blistering hot outside then I prefer open-toed shoes and a tank-top. The overalls just add a little personal touch as to who I am and are a perfect piece to complete this look.

And on days when I don’t want to do anything except relax, a t-shirt and running shorts are the way to go. If it gets chilly outside at night, I can easily throw on a crewneck and head out the door. (Plus I’m moving back to Colorado and reppin’ my home away from home has never been easier.)

I think a lot of people are turned off by Chaco’s because they don’t believe they can be dressed up enough. Well, I’m here to tell you that that just isn’t true. I love wearing my Chaco’s with jeans, a nice tank top, and flannel or even a nice top. These shoes can go with almost any type of pants you own and mixing it up is only to your advantage.

Winter has definitely been the hardest for me to find a way to wear my Chaco’s, especially if it snows, but this is my go-to outfit when its cold outside. I’m in insulated, breathable clothing that keeps me warm and is easy to walk in on my way to campus. Besides, getting to wear colorful high socks is always a plus (these ones are geometric!).

Spring has its ups and downs in weather, so going long-sleeved on the cooler days and short-sleeved on the warmer days matters. Its hard to know exactly how the day is going to be when you leave at 9 in the morning and won’t be home until 3, but this outfit is easy to add a sweater, sweatshirt, or even a jacket to. You have a lot of room to work with full-length leggings, cropped leggings, shorts, and an assortment of tops are great to go with any of those. You can really make it what you want when it comes to Chaco’s.

Any excuse to wear a vintage polka-dot t-shirt amiright? Spring might start off in the negatives, but by May it could be in the 90’s. Wearing my Chaco’s with an outfit as fun as this one is always on my to-do-list. And if it gets a little chilly, adding in a cardigan is a great piece to keep you warm.
